"ArmA 2" spielt sich zu Beginn wie ein "normales" Taktik-Action-Spiel, im Laufe der Missionen werden Sie aber feststellen, dass es mehr als das ist: Denn neben diesem Element könnte man es auch Flugsimulator, Panzersimulator, Echtzeitstrategie und zu einem kleinen Teil auch Rollenspiel nennen.
